Integrating Ancient Wisdom in Modern Life: Knowing Yourself

  1. Your question for manifestations will many but the answer is one i.e. Self-Knowledge. In Ancient Greece, the philosopher Socrates’ reflections on self-knowledge: Knowing yourself is more than attending to your beliefs, discerning the structure of your soul, or recognising your ignorance – it is constituting yourself as a self who can be guided by knowledge toward the good life.
  2. Supreme Consciousness, Purusha is one formless, Prakriti are in many forms. Questions for many forms of Prakriti are many but to all this answer is one, Self-Knowledge. Life in every manifestation is Supreme Consciousness.
  3. The Siddhis (powers) are attained by Birth, Medicine, Mantra, Austerity and Samadhi.
  4. Birth Siddhi – A person who dies while practising Sabija Samadhi will take one more birth. He will recollect his memories and achievements of all his attainment of Adherence, Envy, Vengeance, Censorious, Unforgiving, and Resentment in a very short time and re-attain them. He will find his mind has become transparent but carrying the seed of Affection. Self-knowledge out of this transparency will destroy all the seeds of Affection. He will move towards Nir-bija Samadhi. From Nir-Bija Samadhi his mind will become absolutely pure and attain purity of soul.
  5. Medicine Siddhi – Ayurvedic medicine can purify the body and mind. By which you can purify your Ida, Pingala and Sushumna Nadi and raise your Kundalini. Person can have longevity and a healthy life. These medicines also can go deep into Self and can merge into the Universe.
  6. Mantra Siddhi – It will create vibration from Mantra Sound. By correct pronunciation, a person can tune with the universe. It will unite Jivatma with Atma, Human Being with Supreme Consciousness. Person frequency will start resonating with Universal Frequency. He will get Siddhi’s of the whole Universe. There are six limbs of Mantra called Shadanga. These six limbs are: Seer (Rishi), Deity (Devata), Seed (Beeja), Energy (Shakti), Poetic Meter (chanda), and Lock (Kilaka).
  7. Austerity Siddhi – Any obstacles on the way  Sadhana or Self-Religion or Self-Karma gladly accept it in gratitude is Austerity. It transcends greed to generosity, anger to patience, stupidity to wisdom, Doubt to concentration.
  8. Samadhi Siddhi – Practise of Samadhi gives us the understanding of our Mind. With this understanding we transcend our mind from fluctuating to focus to still to emptiness. All the four Samadhi Pada have Objectives, Means, Qualification and Elaboration. By which we practise Gyan Yoga, Karma Yoga and Upasana Yoga.
