Playing guitar is a science and an Art. There are some basic rules to be followed from holding the guitar to strumming, learning about chords and notes. It is played with the fingers of both the hands, in perfect coordination. Then only one can produce the perfect music , else it would be a defective and flawed one. While playing Guitar, not only we listen to it, we can also feel the vibrations through different parts of the body.
Music is not property; it is art, it is love. It is devotion, it is prayer. You cannot possess it.
In fact, the greatest music in the world is nothing but an echo of the inner music. Whenever a musician comes closer to that music, great music is born. Only very few have reached close to it: a Tansen, a Baiju Bawara, a Beethoven, a Mozart, a Wagner. Only very few have come close to it, but whenever some music comes close to it, resembles it, it has something great in it.
We can’t see the music, yet, when we hear it, there is more than just a song or melody, it touches our heart. I have seen many people relaxing and sleeping by listening the soothing music of the guitar. Playing guitar is like meditation and will give the joy of living in the present moment. It Inspires us to learn new things and makes us Creative.
Remaining uncreative is almost a sin, because you exist and you don’t contribute. You eat, you occupy space, and you don’t contribute anything. And when you are in deep creativity you are close to God. That’s what prayer really is, that’s what meditation is. God is the creator, and if you are not creators you will be far away from God. God knows only one language, the language of creativity. That’s why when you compose music, when you are utterly lost in it, something of the divine starts filtering out of your being. That is the joy of creativity, that’s the ecstasy — svaha!
What Is Creativity?
The question naturally arises, what is creativity? Creativity is a process of transforming the raw energy, information, and material of the universe into something that has never before existed. Whether you are creating a new business, an original piece of music, or a relationship, creativity requires a leap in awareness – a quantum jump from one pattern of thinking to an entirely new one, without progressing through incremental steps. In one moment a creative idea doesn’t exist, and in the next, it is part of our conscious world. In between, where was the idea? It came from the field of pure potentiality, which gives rise to everything in the universe.
By learning to reawaken your creativity, you will recapture the natural enthusiasm, energy, and wonder of youth. As the ancient Vedic sages of India observed, “The secret of immortality is infinite flexibility and creativity.”
