If even for a single moment you become aware that the mind is not there but “I am,” you have reached a deep core of truth.

This quote suggests that reaching a deep core of truth is possible when there is a momentary realisation that the mind is absent, but the inner sense of self, the “I am” remains.

In our everyday lives, our minds are constantly active and preoccupied with thoughts, plans, and emotions. This mental activity often obscures our connection to a deeper level of awareness, our true nature beyond the fluctuations of the mind.

When we are able to momentarily detach ourselves from the endless stream of thoughts and become aware that the mind is not present, we are left with a profound realisation of our unchanging essence or consciousness, often referred to as the “I am.”

This state of awareness, free from the mind’s influence, allows us to tap into a deeper truth. It is a place where we can experience a sense of peace, clarity, and a direct connection to our true identity. It is a glimpse into the fundamental nature of existence, where we can recognise that we are more than just our thoughts and emotions.

By reaching this deep core of truth, we gain insight into our true nature, which is beyond the ever-changing nature of the mind. This understanding can lead to greater self-awareness, inner peace, and a more profound experience of life.
