Life is not somewhere waiting for you, it is happening in – you.
Life is a beautiful phenomenon, not an object somewhere, not a thing. It is a process – dynamic, vibrant, ever-flowing, ever-changing. When Osho says life is not waiting for you, he is pointing towards the misconception many of us hold. We are always waiting – for the moment, for the right opportunity, for the right person, and in this waiting, we miss life. We are constantly projecting ourselves into the future, a future that is only a dream, while life is here and now, in this very moment.
Life is happening in you, through you. You are the vessel, the very medium through which life expresses itself. Life doesn’t happen to you; it happens in you. Every breath you take, every heartbeat, every thought, every emotion – that is life happening. Life pulsates in your laughter, your tears, your work, your play, your love.
To expand upon this idea, consider the example of a flower. The flower doesn’t wait for someone to come and admire it, or for better conditions to blossom. It just blooms, here and now, expressing its essence. So it is with life in us. It is happening in every cell, every fibre of our being.
What is required of you is awareness, a deep, conscious encounter with this phenomenon. When you become an attentive participant in the life that is happening in you, you no longer postpone, you no longer delay. You become alive in the truest sense. You become one with the flow of existence.
Thus, when osho encourages you to realise that life is happening in you, it is an invitation to this moment, to this breath, to this heartbeat. It is an invitation to dance with existence, without waiting for the perfect song. Because life is the song, and it is playing right now, within you.
