Empty yourself of everything – let the mind become still.

This quote is a call to embrace the essence of meditation; it is an invitation to journey towards the state of no-mind. When Osho says, “Empty yourself of everything,” He is speaking of the process of letting go of all attachments, all forms of clinging, and all the unnecessary clutter of thoughts and emotions that fill your consciousness.

The mind is very much like a cup. If it is full, there is no space for anything new, no space for the universe to pour its blessings into it. By emptying yourself, you become receptive. You create a void, and nature abhors a vacuum. This void will then be filled with something more sublime, something divine.

Letting the mind become still does not mean forcing it into silence. It means to watch, to observe without judgement, without interference, without trying to change what is. In that pure observation, thoughts begin to lose their power. They slow down, and a space emerges between them, a stillness that is rich with possibility.

This stillness is not empty in the sense of being devoid of content; rather, it is filled with the very essence of life itself. It is a state of presence, of pure being, where you are in tune with the infinite intelligence of existence.

Approach this stillness not as a task, but as a natural process that unfolds when the psychological traffic of the mind ceases. It is in this silence that profound understanding and deep peace are found.

Remember, you are not trying to manufacture stillness; you are merely allowing it to reveal itself by not participating in the constant chatter of the mind. Therein lies the beauty of meditation – the effortless effort, the action through non-action, the path of least resistance that leads to the heart of existence.
