In Meditation the important thing is that you are Witnessing.

In the practice of meditation, the essential aspect to focus on is the act of witnessing. It is not about actively engaging in any specific actions such as repeating mantras or names of deities, but rather about observing the activities of the mind without interference. By simply being a silent observer, one can unlock the transformative power of meditation.

The key to successful meditation lies in watching the mind closely. By paying attention to the thoughts that arise without judgement or reaction, one can gradually achieve a state of mental clarity and stillness. This process of watching allows for the mind to naturally quieten and become free from the constant chatter that usually occupies it.

Gautam Buddha, the enlightened sage, provided a profound insight into the true essence of meditation by emphasising the importance of witnessing. Through the practice of mindfulness and observation, one can cultivate a deep sense of awareness and presence in the present moment. This state of being fully awake and alert, while also experiencing a sense of inner peace and tranquillity, is the ultimate goal of meditation.

In conclusion, the art of meditation is not about actively trying to control or manipulate the mind, but rather about surrendering to the process of observation and witnessing. By embracing this practice wholeheartedly, one can embark on a journey towards self-discovery and inner transformation.
