Juice Of Life – In Gita Verse 15.13 I enter into each planet, and by My energy they stay in orbit. I become the moon and thereby supply the juice of life to all vegetables.
Embracing the teachings from the Bhagavad Gita, particularly the profound insights of verse 15.13, one can transform the very fabric of daily existence. Lord Krishna elucidates a cosmic dance, where He is the unseen energy orchestrating the harmony of celestial bodies. In this divine cadence, we, as part of His creation, are sustained by the nurturing essence delivered through the moon, the juice of life for all vegetation. It is a subtle reminder of His omnipresence, not just around but also within.
This divine presence that whispers through the rustling leaves and the silent moonbeams also thrums within us, urging us to embark on the most sacred journey – the journey within. It is when we turn inward, peeling away layer after layer of social constructs and personal narratives, that we begin to unfurl the essence of who we truly are. No grand rituals or solemn prayers are necessary for this pilgrimage. The only requirement is a commitment to the silent, unwavering pursuit of one’s own being.
Touching upon the heart of meditation, we enter a landscape that may initially seem enveloped in shadow. Yet herein lies the crux: to merely be a witness, a vigilant observer. The inner terrains call not for our interference, but simply our acknowledgement. Action, an agent of transformation in the outer world, paradoxically becomes an impediment in the realm of the inner self.
The path navigated in tranquil awareness brings us to the realisation that our inner space is not solely a dark void but an expanse of consciousness, radiant and alive. Its inherent light, unbidden and pure, is a powerful elixir capable of transcending the surrounding darkness, not through determined effort but through the natural power of awareness itself.
What Lao Tzu termed ‘action by inaction’ and the Zen referred to as ‘effortless effort’ is the very art of letting this awareness settle deeply into its own rhythm; a rhythmic non-doing. This is the entry point to true meditation, the moment of understanding that any motion within this sacred space can cloud its purity, distorting the reflection of our deepest truth.
Yet it is at this innermost point – unblemished and eternal – that we are closest to the divine. Shrouded by the night of forgetfulness, our most authentic self remains luminous. By recognising and embracing this light, we undertake the alchemical journey that transforms the base elements of existence into the golden reality of enlightenment.
In the world of doing and relentless pursuit, the concept of non-doing might be mistakenly cast off as idle laziness. But do not be swayed, for the world’s most insignificant part is the one that’s visible; its true essence lies hidden within the recesses of your heart. It is here, within, that the kingdom of God flourishes in its full glory, complete and whole, waiting for nothing but your awareness to be realised.
You are beckoned not to worship but to discover the divinity that dwells within you – the ultimate truth. Your God is not a distant deity; you are the living embodiment of that sacred presence. To find the foundation of all life, all existence, look no further than the silence of your being.
In the practice of stilled contemplation, patience is your cherished companion. Watching your inner darkness without aversion or urgency to dispel it is the subtle art of meditation. In that patience and observation, the darkness will inevitably scatter as your awareness grows stronger, purer.
Krishna’s message is akin to a cosmic secret unveiled – by experiencing the self, by delving deep within our essence, we uncover the perpetual source of all energy, the primal juice of life. It is an inward voyage to understand our place in the grand tapestry of existence, to align with the underlying pulse of creation, and to embody the eternal light that Krishna himself represents.
