Knowledge V/S Knowing:

  1. Shrewd V/S Cunning: The difference between cunning and shrewd is that cunning is sly; crafty; clever in secretive behaviour while shrewd is showing clever resourcefulness in practical matters.
    • Shrewd meaning “taking advantage of hidden opportunities.
    • Cunning or slyness to achieve one’s means or desires, by using deceit or deviousness in some way.
    • Shrewd is a clever resourcefulness in practical matters. Another name for shrewd is sagacious, which suggests wisdom and farsightedness.
  2. Learn, Unlearn, Relearn: The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn. – Alvin Toffler
    • Learning, unlearning, and relearning are lifelong learning processes that ensure we stay ahead in a rapidly changing world.
    • How to Continuously Unlearn and Relearn to Grow. Unlearning and relearning require us to change and challenge our own beliefs, habits, and comfort zones.
  3. Knowledge V/S Knowing: When there is no knowledge, knowing happens because knowing is your quality – the quality of consciousness.
    • Knowledge is borrowed, knowing is original. Knowing is always here and now, and knowledge is always of the past.
    • You become original only when you transcend the mind. When the mind is dropped, and the consciousness faces existence directly, immediately, moment to moment in contact with existence, you become original.
    • Knowledge must cease for the knowing to be. And this knowing can happen only in total innocence.
