Patanjali’s Pedagogy: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Classroom Wellness
Introduction
Welcome to Illuminating Education: Research, Awareness, and Meditation in the Classroom, a series proudly brought to you by the Bharatversity in collaboration with Osho Fragrance. I’m your host, Dhwani Shah, and today, we are incredibly honoured to host a true luminary who has spent her career bridging the gap between ancient scholarship and modern well-being.
Joining us is Dr. Veena Londhe, whose credentials span four decades of dedication. Dr. Londhe retired as an Associate Professor of Sanskrit from the Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya and held the prestigious Dr. S. A. Dange Professorship in Indology at the University of Mumbai. A brilliant scholar, she achieved first class first standing in both her B.A. and M.A. in Sanskrit. Crucially, Dr. Londhe also excelled in the realm of wellness, topping her Teachers’ Training Certificate Course in Yoga from Kaivalyadhama, and has done a course in Neuroscience of Yoga.
Her innovative approach even involved weaving breathing techniques and Yogasanas into dance practicals to improve student performance. Today, she shares that deep expertise with us on the topic: Patanjali’s Pedagogy: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Classroom Wellness. Dr. Londhe, welcome to Illuminating Education.
