If you follow love, devotion, surrender, one day you will suddenly find you are full of Meditation.

Life is a complex interplay of energy, emotions, and consciousness, and within that exists the profound simplicity of love. Osho says, “If you follow love, devotion, surrender, one day you will suddenly find you are full of Meditation,” he is speaking of a process, a journey that begins with the heart and moves towards the ultimate stillness of being.

Love, in its purest form, is the energy that drives all existence. It is not merely an emotion, but the very fabric that connects every living being. It is unconditional, without demands, without expectations. It is the beginning of a transformation.

From love arises devotion – total commitment to the object of your affection. It may be a person, a goal, an ideal, a deity, or the divine within. Devotion is love in action; it is love that has found its expression in your every thought, word, and deed. It is no longer passive; it has become your guiding force.

And then, surrender is the letting go of the ego, the small ‘I’ that believes it is separate and in control. Surrender is not a weakness; it is the greatest strength. It is the dropping of resistance to what is, and the merging into the totality of existence.

Meditation, in this context, is not something you do; it is what you become. It is not an act but a state of being – a deep silence where the chatter of the mind ceases, and the duality of life dissipates into the oneness of existence. When you are full of meditation, you are no longer ‘meditating’; you are meditation itself.

So, this journey from love, through devotion, to surrender leads to meditation because it strips away all that is false, all that separates, all that is noise. You are left with the essence, the inner stillness, the pure consciousness – this is the fullness of meditation. It is an awakening to the truth of who you are, beyond form and phenomenon.

Each step on this journey enhances the next. As you love, you naturally devote. As you devote, surrender becomes not only possible but the only path forward. And when you surrender, the meditation that emerges is not a cultivated state – it is natural, effortless, and imbued with the qualities of love and devotion from which it arose. Thus, meditation becomes the fragrance of that love, laced with the sweetness of devotion and the liberation of surrender.
