To love music is good, to love dance is good, but remember it is not the end.
Life is a vast canvas. To love music and to love dance is a beautiful aspect of being alive – music is the hidden language of existence, a melody that resonates in the very core of our being. And dance, dance is the poetry of the body in motion, the spirit expressing itself in physical form. To love these is natural, for they are expressions of joy and celebration of life’s energy.
But, as with all things in life, these are not the ultimate goals. They are facets of the beautiful journey that is life, but they are not the destination itself. In the vast expanse of consciousness, they are but ripples on the surface of an ocean. Osho urges you to dive deeper, to look beyond the ripples and explore the depths.
The end, if one could call it that, is to awaken – to become fully conscious, to realise your true nature. It is to transcend the limitations of the body and mind, to experience the boundlessness of existence. It is to come to a state of pure being, pure awareness, where love is not just an action but your very essence. You must come to an understanding that goes beyond mere appreciation of art or aesthetics.
Music and dance can be paths to this higher state; they can open doors to deeper dimensions of your being. But to stop there would be to miss the point. Use them as a meditation, let them dissolve you until there is no dancer, only the dance; no musician, only the music. And through this dissolution, perhaps you will come to glimpse what lies beyond.
The journey of life is about finding that which is eternal within you – your own inner silence and infinite space. So enjoy the music, dance with abandon, but always with an eye towards the inner horizon, always with your heart attuned not just to the notes and the movements, but to the silent spaces between. That is where the music of the cosmos plays, and to merge with it is the highest symphony.
