Existence cannot go wrong. If it does not fulfil our desires, that simply means our desires were wrong.

Life, my beloved, is a river flowing ceaselessly towards the infinite sea of existence. It follows its own rhythm, its own music; it dances to a melody that is often beyond the grasp of our ordinary understanding.

When Osho says, “Existence cannot go wrong,” he invites you to consider the profound intelligence that underlies everything – every leaf that flutters down from a tree, every wave that crashes upon the shore, every star that twinkles in the vast sky. This intelligence does not err. It moves with a perfect understanding that is woven into the very fabric of the cosmos.

Our desires, on the other hand, are products of the mind. They are born from our egos, our past experiences, our conditionings, and our attachments. They are a product of the limited, a fragment trying to dictate the whole. When our desires are not fulfilled, it is an invitation from existence itself to examine the nature of these desires. Why did we hold them? What did we truly seek through them?

To say that “our desires were wrong” is not to condemn ourselves but to realise that perhaps our vision was not aligned with the grand vision of existence. Were those desires coming from a space of ego or a space of awareness? Were we clinging to a certain outcome because we were afraid of the unknown, or were we willing to flow with the river of life, trusting in its intelligence?

You see, it is not about right or wrong in a moralistic sense – it is about alignment. Are we aligned with the greater harmony of life or are we paddling against the current, fighting every twist and turn?

Go inward. Meditate. As you become more silent and aware, you will find that your desires start reflecting a higher consciousness, a deeper understanding. You will find that your individual will begin to dance gracefully with the will of existence. And that, indeed, is a beautiful realisation.

So, next time a desire goes unfulfilled, smile. Existence is teaching you, guiding you. It is an opportunity to let go, to surrender, to trust. Be a witness to this divine play, and you will discover a freedom beyond anything that the fulfilment of a desire can bring.
