Corn

The word “corn” is used for grains, in general, and is used symbolically to indicate spiritual goodness. With its many seeds, corn is also a symbol of fertility and rebirth.

Within everyone is the seed of creativity that can grow in any direction. Nothing limits us except ourselves, for the truest aspect of each person is unbounded potential.

Everyone has already received God’s greatest gift – the potential to grow.

The real journey of the growth of consciousness is much more nuanced. It has many peaks and valleys. It has intense passages, sometimes called “the narrow path,” about which scholars and mystics have written for thousands and thousands of years. There are times when we are flooded with more questions than answers, more doubt than certainty, and when it feels like we are going through so much inner change and turmoil that nothing seems solid any more.

Children should also be taught that success and fulfillment come from inside, and it is only inside that matters. Each of us is responsible for how we feel, what we wish for, and how we decide to approach life’s challenges. The highest responsibility is fulfilled not by doing a huge amount of work but by doing the work of spirit in an attitude of joy and creativity. This is the only way that life without struggle becomes possible.
