Life Is Far Bigger
Rabia’s way to convey her message was practical. Her trust in herself was so deep that in her personal Koran she made certain changes.
Rabia was born into a poor family – there wasn’t even a piece of cloth available to swaddle her with, no lamp, not even a drop of oil to anoint her navel. She was the fourth (ar-Rabia) daughter thus, she was named Rabia.
While her father slept he dreamt that the Prophet Muhammad came to him and said, “Do not be grieved. You have been blessed with a daughter who will be a great saint; her intercession will be wished for by seventy thousand of my community.”
How can we know that when child is grown up what possibly he/she may have.
Try small experiment:
You are sleeping every day, the phenomenon of sleep is happening every day, but do you know that just before sleep comes you are losing your consciousness?
Please try to remember before the sleep descends what is your last thoughts.
When you get up observe what is your first thought. You will be surprised that what is your last thought before sleep descends, will be your first thought when you wake up. Not only that you will find your day is dominated by that thought.
Sleep is experience of temporary death.
Same way – Life is far bigger than birth and death.
Birth and death are not two ends of life; many births and many deaths happen within life. Life itself has no beginning, no end: life and eternity are equivalent….
Life begins at the point of your past life’s death. When you die, on the one side one chapter of life, which people think was your whole life, is closed. It was only a chapter in a book which has infinite chapters. One chapter closes, but the book is not closed. Just turn the page and another chapter begins.
The person dying starts visualizing his next life. This is a known fact, because it happens before the chapter closes….
