Integrating Ancient Wisdom in Modern Life: Science Of Dhyana

  1. This session will be on Science Of Dhyana/Meditation. In prayer, the Universe will listen to us. In Dhyana we listen to The Universe.
  2. According to Medical Science we have five stages of consciousness, called frequency. They are Gamma, Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta. They are representing our state of mind according to Spiritual Science. They are Fluctuating, Focused, Relaxed, Single Pointed and No-Mind.
  3. Fluctuating mind is filled with unlimited thoughts. Focused mind is filled with many thoughts. Relaxed mind is with essential thoughts. Single Pointed mind is with one thought, very alert and creative. Many discoveries and retractions happen in this state. No-mind has no thoughts where the individual is completely absorbed in the self.
  4. Earth, humans and all other living beings by default resonate with the same frequency of Alpha or Relaxed Mind. One resonates with earth in the same frequency will be Alpha or Relaxed Mind and with essential thoughts. This will result in a peaceful mind and self-motivation. Beta or fluctuating mind is involved in conscious thought and logical thinking, and tends to have a stimulating effect. Gamma or focused mind state which may make you more alert, focused, or better able to recall memories. Theta or Single Pointed Mind can be found during deep sleep. In addition to the physical benefits, delta sleep has been shown to improve overall cognitive function. Delta or No-Mind is classed as a “slow” activity. At this stage Human beings resonate with the whole Universe.
  5. With the practise of meditation breath will slow down. One would be at a lower frequency of Theta or Single Pointed mind with the ability to wait before reacting. They are observers with a peaceful and balanced mind and will be able to make a better decision and act accordingly.
  6. Resilience capacity differs with meditator and non-meditator. Because a meditator has the ability to wait as their complete biochemistry and slow breath will assist them to move from the amygdala and reach the third eye or pineal gland to respond. While non-meditator will not have capacity to move from the amygdala. Amygdala is a biochemistry in us for survival and immediate response. So their act will be an instinct. DMN (Default Mode Network) is lower in meditators than in non-meditators. With this concentration will increase naturally in meditators. They will always focus and self-alert.
  7. With meditation your impulsive and attached feelings will go down; regulated and neutral feelings will increase. This is called Still mind, a person of steady wisdom and witness own lust, pain, pleasure etc. and experiences the truth from within.
