Integrating Ancient Wisdom in Modern Life: True Knowledge
- What is not eternal is not happiness, what is transitory has no value. What we consider happiness is not happiness, it’s pleasure which has hidden miseries and desires. Realisation of this will create a question then what is truth?
- To understand the Truth, we need to understand happiness. There is a difference between happiness and pleasure. Pleasure is dependent on things and conditions. It’s the result of a fluctuating mind. While happiness is not dependent on things, it is unconditional. It is a core of being that comes from inside you. Happiness is when there is no desire for something, just a gratitude for what is.
- Once you discriminate between pleasure and happiness then when you find Truth inside of you. You will experience happiness without any cause and gratitude towards self and surroundings.
- Journey of truth will start from True Knowledge. True knowledge has eight components. First three are how we observe and self-study. They are to see through the senses, discriminating wisdom and studying the scriptures. Balance five is how we deliver in our actions. They are Religiousness, Nonviolence, Factual, Relevant and Amicable.
- Live life of True Knowledge authentically. Without interference of self-identity or others. And let your five senses express your understanding of True Knowledge in your action. This is religiousness. Religiousness means a gratitude towards existence. It has given so much to you, and you cannot pay it back. Which has the fragrance of Nonviolence, Love and Organic Relationship with self and surrounding.
- Once you start living True Knowledge Authentically you will enter into the core of your being which is eternal. This eternity is Truth, Happiness and non-transitory.
- Truth is not something that is discovered for the first time; it is rediscovered again and again. Each individual comes to it alone; again he discovers it. But what he discovers is the same cosmic consciousness, is the same Satchitanand – Bliss, Truth, Consciousness.
- Truth is neither a discovery nor an invention, truth is a rediscovery. Truth is eternal. Truth can be rediscovered only in deep silence. Because Truth can be rediscovered. Religiousness talks about a single truth. Because when the mind is still, you are no more separate from the existence, you are one with the existence. In that self-consciousness, in that cosmic expansion, whatsoever is known is truth. Which cannot be spoken, it can be only lived.
