It is said that soon after his enlightenment the Buddha passed a man on the road who was struck by the Buddha’s extraordinary radiance and peaceful presence.

The man stopped and asked, “My friend, what are you? Are you a celestial being or a god?”

“No,” said the Buddha.

“Well, then, are you some kind of magician or wizard?”

Again the Buddha answered, “No.”

“Are you a man?”

“No.”

“Well, my friend, what then are you?”

The Buddha replied, “I am awake.”

Create Yourself

In our life we all have experienced many times when we meet new people or even if known person we can feel what he is carrying from within. How we felt that? As we create an environment around us call Aura. through our Aura people can feel us and we can feel the others.

Many times you might have even felt peace when you have come across people who are practicing Martial Art or Yoga. Even if you have met for the first time to that person as soon as you go nearer to him you will feel peace and alignment.

If we realize this then you may feel that our inner being is felt by others also. This may become your turning point to move towards yourself. Work on yourself. Meditate. Many things will open for you. Immediate effect of this realization will be at least for a few minutes you will experience your own silence.

The immediate impact of your realization will be you will start responding and not reacting in any circumstances.

You will turn towards yourself. You will not react you will respond. Responding means you are turning towards yourself. If you react it will create anxiety and hyperness. If you respond you will become calm.

You will find that the energy which was going to create anxiety and hyperness is creating peace in you. Energy is the same but where we use it that will create our environment. You will be creating yourself.

Don’t Find Yourself. Create Yourself.

Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself. – George Bernard Shaw

Finding yourself or finding your passion is a misnomer. You can find a passion or a version of yourself, but ultimately you have to create the person you want to be. You have to pursue something deeply before you know if it’s right for you.

Learning from the story Peaceful Presence: Create Yourself

What exactly does “creating yourself” mean?

You to create yourself, mean become the person you have always wanted to. Finding yourself means it already exists. The hard work gone into becoming this person has already taken place. All you need to do is search for it. And once you’ve found it, the journey is over.

Unfortunately it’s not that simple. Without a whole lot of hard work you will never really become the person you want to. Of course it’s not easy. And it’s sure as hell not comfortable. You’ll have to put way more in. But in return you’ll get way more out. The most important thing is that you find your own way.

We aren’t here to all follow the same route on the same map. We are here to create our own. To choose where we start. How long it takes us. How fast we travel. And most importantly, our final destination.

It’s the experiences we decide to make on our own that help us create ourselves. When we go off track, and start forming our own route instead of following in the footsteps of others- these are the moments that define us.

Unlike many others we are lucky enough to have the power to decide what we believe in, what we do, and what actions we take to become the person we envision. It’s up to you to decide what you do with that power.

Be somebody who reminds everybody of nobody. Be brilliant. Be the first. Be interesting. Be unusual. Be an expert. Always be better than yesterday but never as good as tomorrow.

Never wish it was easier. Always wish you were better. Don’t aim to be different. Go out of your way to be unique.

If there is no one criticizing you, it means you’re doing something wrong. And if people say you’re crazy, that what you’re doing is impossible…then keep going. Chances are you’re on the verge of something amazing.

Stop living your life on autopilot. Start offroading. Choose challenging. Not comfortable.

Stand out. Don’t blend in. Show. Don’t tell. Don’t apologize if you aren’t sorry. Work hard at your job, but harder on yourself. Find your passion and make it what you’re known for. Be yourself at all times and achieve something that surprises yourself every single day.
