Integrating Ancient Wisdom in Modern Life: Self-Identity to Self-Worth

  1. Swadishthana Chakra is Situated three fingers below the navel. It is very active from the age of 2-7. This age we start establishing our identity, called self-identity. Whole misery and fight is around our self-identity.
  2. What do we need identity for? It is of no use other than to close ourselves within a description made up of the accumulated past. It is a utilitarian issue, providing others a reference to us, and us to them.
  3. When Kundalini energy moves upwards from Muladhara Chakra and is connected with our Swadhisthana Chakra which is the centre of our life force energy and determines our self-worth.
  4. Self-identity is a comparison. Self-respect, self-worth and pride are noncomparative; that’s the basic difference. When Kundalini energy is connected with Swadhisthana Chakra one connects self-identity with the Universe, unlimited then life becomes simple.
  5. Our whole battle is of the self. Because at this age we become aware of self through our nearer and dearer one. But when they don’t pay attention towards us and are busy in themselves our self-worth shrinks. One starts withdrawing from life. This will block Swadishthana Chakra and Self-identity gets connected with self, limited then life is difficult. We face issues related to our self-identity, sexual pleasure, flexibility and rigidity in thoughts, creativity, passions, desires, addictions, etc. With these issues one becomes masochist and impulsive.
  6. Swadishthana Chakra is a symbol of self and desire. If nearer and dearer one respects and attends the child this Chakra naturally will flower and they will live life with Self-confidence and capable of creating their own path.
  7. Swadishthana Chakra when it is naturally flowers gives self-confidence and is capable of creating its own path. But if we work on this Chakra consciously and sacrifice our self-identity then we become creative. Creativity is the quality that you bring to the activity you are doing, which has an expression of your love. It is an attitude, an inner approach – how you look at things.
  8. If this Chakra is over-stimulated then one can lose excitement in life. With the loss of excitement one will not be able to be enthusiastic for anything. With the lack of enthusiasm one will not be able to experience Wonderment or Awe, with the Universe. First experience of meeting Self-Realisation is Wonderment or Awe.
  9. Acceptance, forgiveness and let-go will help us to open our Swadhisthana Chakra so that we can sacrifice our self-identity and move towards self-realisation.
