Integrating Ancient Wisdom in Modern Life: Contemplate

  1. Animals are in control of the mind. Human beings are capable of contemplation. Contemplation means thinking. Thinking can be of two types. One is zigzag, it jumps from one object to another, a little crazy; that is ordinary thinking, animal mind. Through contemplation is remembrance born in mind and intellect, and awareness of the universe acquired. You cease to repent your words, and gain freedom from God of death. The name of the flawless one is such that only contemplating can know it.
  2. One who becomes aware of the zigzag mind and is ready to leave it. Then one can see again the absolute reality, the possibility of becoming Purusha; called Knowledge and Devotion.
  3. One who has seen Absolute Reality is ready to be alone. They can choose either Karma Yoga or Karma Sanyas, in both the cases they are blissful, humble as they are not attached to the results of Karmas. They are choiceless.
  4. Another category of human beings who wants to live in the material world, in bondage of liking and disliking. Choice is bondage, choicelessness is freedom. The moment you choose something, you have fallen into the trap of the world. They are attached to the results of Karma and possessive.
  5. There are four types of exchange with society depending upon inner growth. First type is they only receive no giving back they are Demon, second type is receive and give back they are Passionate, third type is they will not receive but they give they are Passionless and forth type neither receiving nor giving they are sannyasins.
  6. Each one of us has to pass through this journey. Journey from demon to sanyasi starts from condemnation – lust – self-remembering – self-trust.
  7. Man has the potential to become the Supreme Consciousness unless one has self-trust. One who may or may not be religious but he is light unto himself. It is called religiousness. Religiousness means a gratitude towards existence. It has given so much to you, and you cannot pay it back.
  8. Purpose of the mind to contemplate with all its complexity and realise deathlessness, Purusha. To realise this one needs to be simply, simple. Simplicity comes into existence only when there is freedom from the desire to acquire, and when you are willing to move endlessly into self-knowledge.
  9. Forgiveness opens the door to realise deathlessness, Purusha. To forgive takes strength and trust in self. Real strength of mind and heart to put peace above our upset and anger. It doesn’t mean condoning what they did. It means accepting that they, just like you, are human and make mistakes.
