Integrating Ancient Wisdom in Modern Life: Austerity

  1. Life in gross and consciousness are not the same. Life in gross is Prikriti which is temporary and flux. Consciousness is Prusha which is permanent and eternal. Consciousness gives Life to gross.
  2. Mystical power is a by-product of austerity. One of the mystical powers is to enter into another body. Slightest defocus from austerity will be obstacles. Urge for the mystical power arises because you don’t know yourself, and you don’t want to know that you don’t know yourself.
  3. How can one enter into another body? When the Life in gross (Jivatama) leaves its body and enters another body, it is called parkaaya entry. Is the Parkaaya entry extraordinary? Yes, but not rare. Foetus in the womb is also called a Parkaaya entry, in alignment with the law of nature.
  4. Many Yogi want to enter into another body which is against laws of nature. Why? There are two reasons for it: Attachment for self-identity and experimenting with Knowledge given in Yoga Sutras.
  5. Patanjali has given two possibilities to enter Parkaaya. Freeing the shackles of karma and focusing on the fluctuating mind of the astral and sensual body, the seeker’s mind flows through its nadis. As there are two types of nadis. One for prana and another for mind.
  6. Those who want to enter Parakaya raise their Kundalini energy and bring it to Anahata Chakra. Because Human Chakra begins from Anahata Chakra.
  7. The bottom three chakras are for reproduction and survival. Humans are no longer just there to reproduce and survive. The purpose of man is to evolve and realise himself.
  8. Once the Anahata Chakra starts pulsating with the Kundalini energy with the mastery of the Udana one can leave his body through Sahasrara Chakra or Navel and can enter into the other body through Sahasrara Chakra or Navel.
  9. Purpose of the Parkaaya is to create an experience of coming and going is not a big deal. It is the process of the universe to realise that everything has to go back to its source. It is the process of reuniting with the Universe.
  10. In total awareness one passes through a transformation. One has to die and be reborn. One has to be completely new, totally new. With that ‘new’ when the old has gone, when one has disappeared and a new being has taken place then there is communion.
  11. One who has mastered Udana will become light weight and can walk above the ground. So mud cannot touch him, thorns cannot hurt him and the mind will defy ignorance. Rise in Self consciousness and meeting Universal Consciousness.
